Main legal issues that providers of information watch services need to take into account with regard to legal liability and data protection. Description of key issues pertaining to the different stages of the information watch process (finding information, extracting information and delivering information), alerting EICs to common errors and omissions. Legal implications arising from sending unsolicited e-mails to clients in light of the directive on data protection for electronic communications.
