Digital revolution and startups

Find Me Hervé Jacquemin on the topic “Contractual aspects and consumer protection in e-commerce.”
In an economic context concerned by several years of crisis, a sector did better than the others: digital economy.
Digital technologies are also becoming more than just an economic sector among others; they are actually a new paradigm that redefines and invites all to reinvent traditional economic sectors, and even society as a whole.
It is generally called “start-up” companies that derive benefit from the great potential offered by the digital world.
The European and Belgian authorities seem to have realized that we lag behind in this area, and the consequential need to adapt the regulatory framework in this new paradigm. Moreover, several instruments are already available to the Belgian start-ups as opportunities for lawyers who can detect and adapt to the needs and constraints of start-ups.
It is these various instruments and reforms, current and future, that this seminar aims to present. They will be addressed in a manner that want simple, clear and concise in order to demystify digital technologies and their reputation for technical sophistication, in order to expose the essential aspects for the lawyer.
