Opening of gaming law competition: new legal aspect, ARJEL,…
by 14230
In order to channel and guide the demand for online games of chance, growing both in France and in the rest of Europe, the Government decided, at the Cabinet meeting on June 11, 2008, to implement a regulated liberalisation of certain sectors of the market for online games.
The new licensing regime should be operational in January 2010. It will allow, provided a list of strict requirements is complied with, the licensing of sports bets and horse betting as well as online poker. These licenses will be issued by an independent administrative authority created specifically for this purpose (ARJEL).
This workshop aims to present all stages of the application procedure and licensing under the new Law. It will be taught by recognized experts in the field.
